This offering of the course will be a hybrid, mixing live lectures and web-based materials. The course will meet once a week. The focus of the live meetings will be questions about the assigned readings, discussion and reviews of assignments, and explanations of the more complicated topics related to the readings.

Students are expected to come to class prepared for the week's live session. In particular, when the course outline lists online and text readings prior to a lecture date, students are responsible for doing those readings before the live session. If students have questions about the readings, they should make a reasonable effort to post those questions in the Forum, allowing enough time before the live session to get those answered.
